01 — Approach

Three application families, one disciplined integration process.

This page separates three requirements that should not be confused: bunker doors shown through construction typologies, gates for applications with blast-protection requirements and radiological-shielding closures.

The real blast-protection model is detailed on its dedicated technical page, while the gallery below separately presents the radiological-shielding application. Geometry, support structure, actuation, protection level and documentation are defined for the actual project.

02 — Configurations

Three bunker-door configurations

Selection is not based on opening size alone. Door-leaf mass, travel path, lateral space, support structure, maintenance access and actuation must be treated as one system.

Type 01 · two leaves

Double-leaf blast-resistant swing gate

Two-leaf swing assembly with heavy external hinges and a central locking mechanism. The configuration is shown in the photograph supplied for the catalogue. Pressure resistance stated by SPW: 9 bar.

Heavy pivot gate inside an industrial space with curved floor tracks and two technicians
Photograph retouched for presentation · work in progress
Type 03 · rotation

Pivot gate

Heavy pivot gate shown during work at the panel base and along the curved floor tracks. Kinematics, supports and the safety area are defined for the specific assembly.

  • Curved opening path
  • Work at panel base and floor level
  • Supports and actuation coordinated through the project

For models 1 and 2, SPW states a pressure resistance of 9 bar. This value relates to the configurations shown, not every size or variant. Loading and installation conditions, verification method and acceptance criteria are specified in the technical quotation documentation. Photographs do not constitute certification.

System integration

01

Requirement

We clarify threat, performance, dimensions and operation.

02

Interfaces

We check support structure, opening, access, utilities and installation.

03

Configuration

We define the technical solution and offer-specific documentation.

04

Installation

We coordinate installation, adjustment and handover within the agreed scope.

08Documentation

Mandatory technical clarification

Quotation requires opening dimensions, structural drawings, requested protection level, operating mode and location. Any performance or compliance is confirmed only through the documentation for the proposed configuration.

09Technical clarifications

Useful questions before quotation.

What does STEEL PIPE WELD offer for special protective doors and teogra systems?

Distinct heavy-closure families for bunkers, applications with blast-protection requirements and technical access requiring radiological shielding. Reference configurations and real photographs · performance and compliance are confirmed separately for each project

What information is needed to quote “Special protective doors and TEOGRA systems”?

Quotation requires opening dimensions, structural drawings, requested protection level, operating mode and location. Any performance or compliance is confirmed only through the documentation for the proposed configuration.

What work is covered by the technical assessment?

Rail-guided sliding bunker doors; Heavy pivoting, blast-resistant or fragmentation-resistant closures; Gates and doors for access with radiological-shielding requirements; Support structures, actuation, integration and installation. The final scope is defined after reviewing the project and site conditions.

How is the work process organised?

Requirement: We clarify threat, performance, dimensions and operation. Interfaces: We check support structure, opening, access, utilities and installation. Configuration: We define the technical solution and offer-specific documentation. Installation: We coordinate installation, adjustment and handover within the agreed scope.

Can a price be confirmed from photographs alone?

Photographs support an initial assessment but do not replace dimensions, quantities, materials and access conditions. Price, schedule, transport and included work are defined in the quotation for the specific project.

What evidence should support technical performance claims?

Request documents applicable to the quoted configuration: drawings, materials, inspections and, where required by the project, test reports or certificates. A photograph or commercial name alone does not demonstrate a protection rating or certified performance.
